Noah Sweetwine is a significant character in I’ll give you the sun by Jandy Nelson because he is the wonderful painter brother of the protagonist sister Jude as well as very artistic and whimsical giving off mostly positive energy. He is a dorky tall brown ,curly haired artist who struggles with jealousy on both his and his sisters end due to constant competition between the creative twins,
He speaks as if he knows a different language and that is the conversation of art, it's almost as if he has synæsthsia. His personality is shy yet brave at the same time. The wine in his imagination cup is never empty, the glorious mind painting he does imagining himself in these out of this world pictures and paintings. Imagining himself with his crush, Brian Connelly. As the story progresses his character grows from a shy scrawny boy, to a buff jock who hides his true colors until one faithful day.
